about this site

This site offers an introduction to a selection of key concepts in the rising field of affect studies as well as reviews of scholarly books that intervene in this domain. Keyword entries were chosen, composed, and edited by graduate students in the course, “The Affective Turn in Nineteenth-Century Literature” (2014) and book reviews by those in “From Queer Theory to Affect Theory” (2016), both taught by Gerard Cohen-Vrignaud in the English Department at the University of Tennessee.
